Full Doors or Bulldawg Upper Sliders?

Hey everyone, still reading up on Wranglers and what can be done to them. I guess all said, I am still a Newbie- -

I've got a '99 Sport with half doors. I don't mind a soft top, but I absolutely can't stand looking through the plastic windows on the doors and/or having them lay where I want to put my arm when they're unzipped.

That leaves me with the choice I have in my Title. What do you all think? I can get the Bulldawg ones for about $700 new off ebay. Full doors will cost me $200-$400 more and they may or may not be the right color, so add paint costs.

I'm particularly interested in anyone that got the Bulldawg uppers and what they think of them.

Thanks in advance!

I have the Bestop sliders and I like them they are made of the same material as the soft top (around $450)
I don't like the soft uppers for the same reason as you. I would go with the sliders if you like your half doors

You know I do like the half doors. Just don't like the window.

I've seen the Bestop sliders. The downside for those (if I'm correct) is they don't allow the sliders to be removed from the canvas and re-used with a new/different canvas door. They are less expensive tho- -

Yea the frame of the windows are not removable. But this is my second set and I can not complain about them, the first set were on the Jeep when when my dad bought it in 05 and I don't know how long before that. I just replaced them about 6 months ago and my old set is still in good shape just had faded/bleached out.
good luck with your decision

I'd say hard uppers. The half doors are so nice IMO you have the perfect arm rest and can pull off the uppers and bam open space. I have full doors too but they are way less fun

Definitely get the hard uppers. I have a set of Bulldawgs for my 04 TJ and I love em. They come off in about 2 mins and BAM...open space. They are pricey, but they're worth it.
