fuse panel

Hi all does any one have diagram of 97 jeep tj also does any one know why my check engine light keeps coming on thanks pete.

Can't help you on the diagram...as far as the check engine light, it could be many different things. I'm not sure if there's a key on-off trick to pull codes on Jeeps...but if you take it to Autozone, last I knew, they would scan your vehicle for free.

pete turn the truck to the on position then off 2 times then on the 3rd you leave it on. It will show numbers in the cluster. Write thos numbers down. Thos are the codes your throwing. Post back up after you do that. I have the 97 Factory service manual for the tj

Do the key on off thing like jdhallissey stated to display the codes on the odometer. The most common thing is the oxygen sensors need to be replaced, but your check engine light could be on for several reasons.

thanks for the replys ill try the key thing my instrument cluster has no lights ? what fuse do i try thanks pete.

Look in the owners manual. There is a listing for each fuse and what its for. The fuse box is in behind the glove box.
