Future upgrade, lift, wheels, tires (validation) 2002 TJ

I have been searching the forums, and think I have answered my own question, but considering the cost, I need to verify my numbers before the purchase…

The jeep is mainly used on the road, but this is not my primary vehicle during the summer. During the winter it will be my 2nd dairy vehicle, “mustang is stored when the snow flies”, wife drives an Expedition. Realistically it will see off-road/snow 30-40% of the time.

I need to check the fit, and compatibility,
Old man emu, 2.5” suspension lift, front accessory up to 88lbs. 5x4.5 lug nuts, Wheels 15x8 with 4.25 backspaces. Tires 31x10.5x15. I do not want spacers, and would like to keep the wheels inside the fender flares. I don’t plan on going to 33 any time soon, if ever.

You can put 31's on your stock wheels. 4.25" bs will move them out about an inch and a quarter, depending on your stock wheels. With the bs on the wheels you're looking at you will be outside the stock TJ flares.

Thank you for your response. I guess I have mis-read some old posts. I would need to measure my current bs, but from what you have provided I need a bs of 3, to match what I currently have. I am not planning on the lift anytime soon, but changing the wheels is a must, stock wheels just don’t cut it…

Thanks again

No, I don't think so.... What wheels do you have now? Or do you know the bs on them. Most stock Jeep wheels have either 5 or 5.5" bs....
