G2 Complete Axel Competitors

So I just realized that G2 axels are a "MADE in China" product. Not that I am totally anti "Made in China", but for my Jeep, I would like to purchase a fully made in the USA product.

So My question is: Does G2 really have a competitor in the US? Someone that offers the same kind of set up (Dana 44, chromoly shafts, ARB Lockers, 5.38 gears, etc.)? Is there a better option that is as bolt on complete?

Would like some input from people who might possibly scour the internet for aftermarket parts more than me.

Thanks

yea...theres a bunch of companies that make bolt in axles.

www.dynatrac.com
www.currieenterprises.com
www.samsoffroad.com
www.eastcoastgearsupply.com

Even Mopar makes bolt-in axle assemblies...available at your local dealer. Local 4x4 shops and local fabricators often also specialize in complete axle assemblies. Around here they even advertise on craigslist.

I just went through the axle shaft process a few weeks ago. What a bunch of smoke and mirrors. I tried to buy G2, but they were backordered for a month everywhere. Finally settled on Alloy USA. When I received them, the fine print said "Made in India."

Reading between the lines of doubletalk that I got from vendors, it seems that there might be some old stock Alloy USA axles that are actually USA. Found some obsolete part numbers that cost around $100 more. Was told that the new ones were cheaper because "the parts download was less expensive." I am guessing that the "cheaper download" gobbledygook translates to "NOT Made in the USA."

I was primarily needing to replace a bent axle, so I bought Alloy USA part #12135. The insurance company sprung for the list price of $607 for the OE part. I spent $306 for the axle kit (two axles.) At least the bearings were USA Timken.

East Coast Gear Supply builds axles in the US, and I believe they use all US made parts as well. Dynatrac says they are made in the US, Mopar makes aftermarket bolt in axles.

You could also try Just Differentials. They did my re gear and they also ship made to order custom axles. They are located near me in Cashmere, WA. Ask for Jeff and tell them Kevin Dellinger mentioned them. They did right by me and they used Nitro Gears.

Don't let the name confuse you. They were NEVER made in the US for the most part across all their part numbers. That would also be contrary to the business model since the owner/money man behind Alloy USA was from India.

G2 takes OEM and a few other local axle housings and just fills them with imported parts. You can buy a Rock Jock housing from Currie through G2 with G2 imported internals.
