Garvin wilderness vs kargomaster congo cage

I need a roof rack so I can shuttle rafts on floatrips. The rafts we use are a little less than 200 lbs.

Anyone knoow much about these? The garvin is a lot more $ but I read it rusts. The K-master is p-coated

I have Daves rack on my Jeep. What a POS ! The rack rust's at every joint/union, the windshield support rods crack, the telescoping bars for the inverted support rust together making the worthless, not only was the rack expensive but it was shipped truck freight, $200 friggin dollars for shipping!! I dont want high maintance items on my jeep, Daves rack gets a big thumbs down for poor quality. Now if it were made of aluminum.....

I've had the Garvin on my rig for over a year now. No rust and no problems. The only mod I'm thinking about is a piece of expanded metal screen over the cross bars. The bars are set on about 7" centers. It can be a big gap for some things. This rack has hauled a weeks worth of camping gear, boxes, backpacks. I like it.

Certainly not my experience. Haven't had any component failures. After four years there were a few rust spots. A wire brush and 10 minutes of spray painting made it look as good as new.
