I drive a 4.0 liter 98 TJ with 33x12.5 tires and 4.10 differential.
MY GAS MILEAGE SUCKS, obviously I did not get a jeep for gas mileage, I was just wondering what kind of $$$ other members put in at the pump. I live in Kansas and put in $45 the other day just to fill er up. It may not sound so bad but filling up once or twice a week can get pretty costly.

Yup. its getting pricey, and it's only going to get worse.

I drive ~25miles to work every day....I've cut back on my "jeep days". I guess I'm lucky to have options. my other 2 cars get twice the mileage of the Jeep. It just sucks because it seems all 3 vehicles run out of fuel at the same time.

Damn how big is your tank?

I just refill once the idiot light comes on. and that's generally around 14.7 gallons. with at our current ~$3/gal prices your looking at ~45.00

Somehow you're able to put over 20 gals. in a 19 gal tank?

yea way of life. Try filling up a tahoe and a f-150 both hold right around 26 gallons lol. Then my new to me diesel holds 50 gallons of fuel.

Yea I fill up at about $40 to $45ish also. If I drive that all week to work I fill it twice a week. And I drive 80 miles round trip to work and back. It's about the same as when I drive my F250 Powerstroke all week it costs me $75 in diesel. Mrcarcrazy I know what you mean about them always need filling up at the same time even when you switch vehicles every now and then...

It was $3.01/gallon on base this morning, $3.09/gallon in town.
I tend to fill it up when I get to 1/4 tank, and it was $36 (I think) last time I filled it.

I drive 30+ miles one way each day, so just over 60 miles a day. Yeah...sucks for the gas mileage, but I don't have a Jeep for good gas mileage.

I get more smiles to the gallon than any other car I have owned.

03 Sport. ~$45 to fill up when the idiot light comes on with about 14.5 gal. Only once did i go far below it. The light came on when I turned her on to go to work and thought I would fill her up on the way home. Ended up forgetting to bring my wallet and was scared I would run out the entire way home. Took just under 19 gallons to fill up the next morning.

right now, im running stock everything... and put out about $60 a week, driving to and from school, to and from work, and some round town stuff. I am getting a lift and 33's and I look forward to the increase in gas trips! : (

But you are in a Jeep, if you didnt want to spend $ on gas, repairs, mods, etc. you shouldve went with a prius...

Last week I got about 240 miles out of $47. But I'm running 33s on the stock gears so my speedo in a little off.

You can change it, it's super easy, I have 33's on 3.73 gears and my speedo is only 2 mph slow at 65mph. Picked up a new speedo gear for 25 shipped from someone on this forum.

Well lucky for me I live in a college town where everything is a 2 min drive and work is only 5 min......I spend about 35 every other week.

I have a basically stock 94 2.5L 5 speed and before my irlfriend got her licsense I was usually putting in 25-30 a week. Now I make it 3 weeks on a full tank cause i make her drive everywhere :D

Mine is an 01 with a 2.5 and a auto trans, I pay between 2.75 and 2.85 depends on who's pocket is empty at that time of day, until memorial day when the fat cats here will make us pay between 2.95 and 3.25 a gal to help line more pockets, so I can't tell ya how much it is each time but last time from "your walking soon" light to full was $42

Let's see. I have an 06 Unlimited (pretty much stock) I-6, 4.0, Auto.
I filled her up today I was down to about a 1/4 tank. I pumped 14.454 Gallons @$3.1999 totalling 46.24. My mileage for that amount of gas was 184.4 meaning that I am getting 12.7577 miles per gallon.
