Gas Mileage

Just got a 05...it's all stock except for bigger tires...not much bigger though.
Checked mileage on the first tank of gas and got 16 miles to the gallon.
Does that sound about right?
From what I have read and heard that sounds about normal...just wanted to check with you guys.
Anything I can do to get it a little better?
Thanks

You prolly have 3.07 gears, and a 5 spd my98tj.

My rubi pulls 16.5-18 with 4.11s, 6 spd, and 31s.

You might get a couple extra mpg by changing your driving habbits, but your doing good imho.

i see the forst time that you count your fuel consumption in "miles per gallon". here wo count it in "liters per 100 kilometers".
every day i learn something new...

1 mile = 1,609344 kilometer
1 gallon = 3,7854118 liter

that´s all you need if you want to convert it.

EDIT: found a good converter for that: http://www.chevelles.de/de/miscellan...alculator.html

i have 11.5 m.p.g.

that is logical:

US: distance / amount = the higher the better

EU: amount / distance = the lower the better
