Gearing issues....

Hi, I just replaced my rear axle with a used one that I got off craigslist. Like an idiot I took the gentleman's word that the axle ratio was a 4.10 However after I installed it and tested 4 wheel I found that rather abruptly it was not!

After some research I found out it's a 3.07 ratio. If I do not use 4 wheel drive while having this axle in the jeep and only use 2 wheel will I risk damaging any components in the vehicle?

It seemed very smooth in two wheel and on the high way I of coursed noticed the speedometer was off but meh... Right now I just need to get to work without killing my Jeep.

what is your front axle ratio? if it's 3.07, then there's no problem.
