Gearing question

I have a 97 tj 2.5l ive got 33s on it and im thinking about regearing the axles. Anyone have any advice on what gears will work best for my set up?

I have a 2000 TJ with the 2.5 and 33" tires as well any advise will help.

The lowest you can go with a D30 is 4.88 so thats what I would want with the 4 angry squirrels that you are rockin....

at a shop? ballpark? around 1500 on the cheaper side...most places around 2k (at least around here that i've heard)

I've got a 2.5 manual as well...gonna run 4.88's but having a friend do them for 500 bucks...

1200 bucks +/- a few hundered typically.. some times more depending on where you have it done

4.88 is right but the cost range is from $500 to $800 an axle around here.

Gear sets are 2-250 per axle depending on brands, so about $500 or so... I would run the Superior set shown below at 209 a set. SUPERIOR AXLE & GEAR - products new home - Superior Axle and Gear\'s D35488 Ring & Pinion - Dana 35 4.88 Ratio Gear Set
