gears in 97 jeep

what gears are in 97 jeep with the 4 cyl ? i thought that they are all low geared?

You should have 4.10 gearing with the 4cyl.

I'm not sure how the year model affects this but i have the 3.73 im my '01 se

I think the auto's had 3:73's and the sticks had 4:10's. And like blownfanswitch said, I think there was a change in there by year also.

3.73 didn't get into the Wrangler line until '98. If you have the 5-speed, you have 4.10/4.11.
