I'm actually planning on using those as my next tire. Every review I've seen has been positive and General has pretty good feedback overall. In person they look nasty and I actually saw them on a Wrangler just a few weeks ago.

I have these on my Nissan Pathfinder. They wear like iron, but they're very bouncy.

Which leaves dirt, sand, and pavement? I'm guessing from the looks of them they suck on ice too... No siping.

Those tires where developed mostly for Baja running or vehicles that want a good tire for the road that doesn't want A/Ts or M/Ts, mostly sand. There's a new trend going on where ppl are taking Chevys , fords, or dodge trucks and turning them into street drivin Baja super trucks with the wide body panels and real big traveling coil over shocks with the spare tire mounted at a slant in the bed with humungo off road lights mounted to the grill, you know like ford coming out with the SVT RAPTOR truck! Now dodge is producing one and I'm sure GM will follow!! If your gonna be doing some wheelin in your jeep those tires ARE NOT for YOU!!

x2, generals historically have made tires that wear like crap...the stock ones on my last 4 trucks haven't made it 30K. A buddy just bought some of these new ones so we will see eventually if they wear any better.

I ran the AT2 on my Tundra and they lasted over 60000 they were all highway miles. I also got stuck on soft flat ground but in sand they ran fine.

I did about a weeks' worth of research before I went with the DTs. The main complaint I found (repeatedly) with the Grabbers is they allegedly aren't a very self-cleaning tread. For me (lotsa mud and snow) that's a BFD breaker, in spite of how badass they look.

and tell me these Duratracs aren't just about as sexy.

I got them put on my jeep today. From the reviews I read they did great in the mud and on the road. I met a few guys last weekend that had them on their jeeps and they said the same. I haven't had mine in the mud yet but on the road they are quiet and ride smooth. They don't seem to pull or float on the road. It was raining today and I didn't slide or anything. So far, so good.

As I use them more I will post what I find out about them. It's hard to say now. My major concern is how they handle in a hard rain. At the moment they look good though.

this is what kept me from buying them as well. I went BFG All terrain's. they aren't "hardcore" looking or acting, but the haven't let me down, and I have faith in BFG.

I liked the BFGs on my Zr2, but they were pretty loud; I figured in a jeep w/ that little of insulation they would drive me nuts.

Best AT I ever had was the old Bridgestone Dueler ATs on my 00 XJ. Those things absolutely shredded snow and ice. But they changed the tread pattern (much less aggressive now) so I went away from them.

Good luck w/ the Grabbers, I think they look badass. I was just leery of the criticisms heard round the web.

to the guy talking crap about my OWLs...whatever. next thing you're gonna bust on me for is my red lug nuts.

Unbiased opinion on performance, but they look awesome!Especially on your red Jeep!I saw some on a TJ around here last week, and I thought they looked cool!Be yourself-if you aren't hard-core wheeling, you should be fine!

Not gonna lie, both tires look awesome. I've got BFG ATs on mine right now. Not the beefiest but I'm happy for the $180 I paid for them.

I have had these for about 4 months. Maybe longer and put about 4k on them. They are awesome. In my opinion if you don't have them, don't say something bad about them... Not to start anything but people they suck in blah blah blah and I've taken them in the blah blah blahs and they work great. So it might be the driver, not the tires.

Thanks! They are 31X10.50R15LT

I'm not a hard core mudder so I'm sure these will be fine. I do get out in the mud and sand on occassion during hunting seasons and while fishing. That will be the extent of my mudding. I guess I'm a little to OCD to let my jeep stay too muddy for too long. I have to get the hose out and wash it off when a bird uses it for target practice. I'm also one that has to have everything kind of match. lol

I will try to get out in some mud and post a review as soon as this drought is over with. The tires have some pretty aggressive treads on them which doesn't really show in the pictures. It's almost like a hybrid between an AT and MT.

Those do look awesome!!! I was looking to put the same ones on my red '02.... Just couldn't justify the price over the dura tracs w/ the $100 mail in rebate... Maybe next time!
