going with a 2" lift

After carefull consideration i think ive decided to buy a 2" lift for now and get larger tires (either 31's or 32's) after i buy the lift instead of getting them before. Ive been looking a 2" kits and i like the RE 2" bb kit with longer shocks. My question is what is the difference between twin tube and mono tube shocks? The twin tube kit is about 130 less than the mono tube kit. Is the mono tube kit really worth the extra 130?

If your not going to be doing a lot of hard core stuff the twin tubes should be fine. The big difference is in the valving, softness. The mono's being a softer but higher performance shock.

I myself went a head and got the twin tubes with my lift, and will report on them once I get it all done, hopefully this weekend.

I've got the RE 3.5 Superflex kit and the RE monotube shocks...LOVE THEM!!!!!

They give you a very nice - firm ride without sacrificing your kidneys.

if you want a 2'' lift.. id recommend the 2'' procomp explore lift..

it ran me 320 from jcwhitney with free shipping.. its not a bb its shocks and coils..

from what i looked at as far as bbs go.. its only about 100$ more and you will have better flex and it also rides smoother than my factory suspension and easy to install

That what I bought and I am really pleased with it. I bought mine at a local shop for 400.00 installed with the alignment.

seems like the pro comp kit isnt bad. I wanted to go RE cause ive heard lots of good things about their kits, but i'll have to check into the pro comp as well. Does anybody run an RE 2" kit here?

like every time again i would recommend the OME 2.5" lift. it´s the best ride you can get for a TJ. i drove many different lift kits before i decided that a OME lift is the best in my opinion.

the RE kit is only cheap a spacer lift.
it´s ok if you don´t have enough money at the moment. but a real sping lift will make the ride much more better and comfortable than a budget boost.

i bought a BB first, and after i drove a friends TJ with a real spring lift i noticed that my jeep has a very bad ride.
in my opinion a BB is wasted money. wait a bit and save the money for a real lift.

do it once - do it right.

I went wth the Skyjacker 2"BB, and kept the stock shocks with no detrimental effect.
