Good Budget Poost for Price?

I am looking for a good budget boost lift kit. I'm also looking for a 2-4 inch lift. I have a limited amount of money so I'm not sure what to get. I was looking at the Rough Country 2.5in Lift for $300 but I've heard mixed reviews on the quality. The use will be mostly on-road with occasional off road use. I have 31 inch wheels with the stock rims. Just remember the price. So does anyone have any suggestions?

I just bought a Zone 3 inch lift after researching and researching. I was originally going to go with the OME lift since I have heard nothing but great things about them, but at the same time I haven't read anything bad about Zone either and it is significantly less expensive. I paid $450 for the lift, but I also bought a JKS adjustable front track bar, which was about $220 on top of that.

Now Zone has a nice 1 3/4" BB lift that includes new shocks for about $230. It will give you that extra height you're looking for without having to do anything else like replacing he track bar, possibly a transfer case drop, or doing a track bar relocation.

Personally, I would go that route over RC.

For 31's and a limited budget, a 2" Budget Boost of spring spacer is very common and you retain the stock ride. The best part is that you are only looking at about $100 for the spacers and bumpstops.

Your other budget option is to install a 1.25" Body Lift...also about $100.

This is the best answer. You can likely find someone selling their old spacers for <$50, too. I sold my old ones for $20 lol. It'll ride just like stock because everything is the same as stock, just 2" higher.

Amazon has the Rubicon Express 2" BB for $239 and the Zone 2" BB for $229. If you want better shocks you can up the RE BB to $409 and go from a twin tube shock to a monotube shock. I had the standard RE BB on a previous OllllO and it worked well. The parts description on amazon speaks only of supplying the rear bump stop extensions and not the front for the RE. "Notes: Economy Lift Kit w/Shocks; 2 in. Lift; Incl. Rear Bump Stop/Coil Spring Spacers/Front/Rear Twin Tube Shocks"

I had the Monotube RXJ kit which came with front and rear bumpstop extensions. The twin tube only comes with rears. Should have made that clearer in my post.
I'm still running the shocks and bumpstops but I've upgraded to OME springs now.

I have the RC 2.5" lift. Not bad for the price but after six years its really tired and I'm not even sure if half of the shocks work anymore. Good for the price but for a few more shiny pesos there's better out there.

Another low budget but also great for future mods would be a 1" BB and a 1.25 JKS body lift. With the body lift you will have the option to do many other mods . You could probably do it all for around 200 depending on what deals you find. I paid 90 bucks for the JKS BL new in box on craigslist and any brand spacer off Ebay will do . When you get enough money save for a good set of springs and shocks then do it. $300 is a little more than just a "good " set of shocks would be .

Will stock shocks still work with 2" lift , I doubt it correctly . that was the reason behind my 1" suspension idea
They'll fit perfectly fine, you just loose downtravel for uptravel. Same exact thing will happen with a 1" boost. The issue lies in that depending how tired your springs are, the shocks may not be long enough and limit become a limiting strap. I wheeled mine for a year with stock shocks and a budget boost and didn't blow them out, so it can be done.

Its not the same exact thing you are talking twice as much lift even if it is only an inch. I am not talking blowing out shocks I am talking limiting shock travel which is why I said "correctly". I figured the one inch spacer would get him close to OE height when new plus a little . The 1.25 BL will get him more than needed for 31s plus the BL can stay on the jeep as most of us have one rather than having 2" spacers which are useless for future progress in building . both methods are cheap but one has no future needs and one does , tummy tuck , fuel tank skid........
