Well....looks good on paper. Clutch replaced when or stock? Heavy Duty 8.8? Referring to aftermarket shafts? More details. Great suspension lift for a TJ. More info for better advice IMO.

Here is the link. Comes with tire carrier, tire and rim. I didn't see anything in the post about the clutch...? I'm assuming he means HD 8.8 just meaning that's it's more HD than stock axel.

I don't know if this is a good deal or not but one thing seems to be for sure: spending that kind of money to modify a TJ does not pay very well!

Its definitely a clean looking Jeep. I dont see any red flags but I wish I could see the interior

It looks like it might be worth seeing in person to get a better idea

I will have him send me some interior pics before I head down to take a look at it an test drive it. Any tips on what to look for while test driving/looking over the Jeep?

He says "serious offers only" because he knows he's a little high on his price. It's a nice enough looking Jeep, but all mods and overall appearance considered it's worth more like $12k, and even that may be a little high. It doesn't have built up axles, just lockers (I'm guessing if it had alloy shafts they would be listed, and a locked D30 on stock shafts is not good), it's a fairly generic lift (nice, but not special), the biggest value this Jeep has above the $7500 average price is the ARB lockers, Warn winch and the hard top. It looks like he spent a lot of money paying a shop to do the work on it and while fairly realistic on how that translates to value, it's still a bit high.

I offered him 13k and he said he can't go that low.

Ya a Dana 30 locked on 33" is maxed on stock axles. Even though the pinion shaft diameter is bigger than a Dana44....he's on the high side on price over all. Got my 8.8 for $120. $20 for rear housing seals. Check it out and be picky. Clutch master and slave cylinder replaced? Seriously doubt the timing chain was done despite it right around the corner

Did he even budge $500? If not it may just be best to pass. Like previously mentioned, he is wanting you to pay above premium.

It may be one of these guys whos wives want the thing gone but the husband has it priced high so he can keep it as long as possible haha

I'm just north of you in Wyoming, and had mine listed at $13k/obo once, I wouldn't sell it, but I was curious if I would have many people looking at it. There were a few.

I mention this because you can find better deals if you have a little patience, luck and determination.

There is nowhere near $20k in mods on that rig. $12k is a more realistic price

Well you're going with a different platform there /\. I'd rather have the TJ. Either way, neither I believe are great 'deals', however it's been my limited experience that Jeeps in CO fetch a heftier price tag.

The first one is a LOT like mine except mine is gunmetal pearlcoat and a '98 with 70k miles. I'd love to get 15k for it!

Buy it. It'll cost you double that to build.

99 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4x4, lift, hardtop, roof rack
This is the deal to jump on, if it isn't gone already.

I don't think that is at all unreasonable. I paid 12k for similar miles 04 bone stock. ARBs, winch, bumpers, etc, it would cost you whole heck of a lot to get installed.

The first one he said he has all receipts for all the work and can take $14,200. He says stock D35 with HD track bar and stronger tie rod. Clutch is going strong. RS9000xl adjustable shocks a few months ago. It has a bigger air intake. SYE and cv driveshaft.

If you can get him to 12-13k your stealing it in my area. My dad sold his 2004 rubicon with 89k with 4in lift with discos (everything else stock essentially besides wheels and tires) for 14k earlier this month.

I like that Sahara for $9900. It's worth a look.

I agree! This appears to be the better deal and a great one.

On second thought, they both look nice and the first one has all of the tops, which are worth $$$. It really depends on what you like best. I like the look of the first one and it is cleaner looking too...but just a bit much on the asking price.

I really like the first one and I don't mind paying a little extra to get it, I just don't want to be making a financially stupid decision. I can easily afford it, just don't want to be getting ripped off.

I like the Sahara too, just wondering about that high of mileage. I won't be driving the jeep everyday but my commuter car had 55k miles put on it in the last 2 years so I do a lot of driving.

The reason the second one is cheaper is because it is a 20 year old car. low mileage or not

It's gonna be a daily driver? 20 K miles per yr? Your going for lifted and gear changes with oversize tires.Take one of these for a 3/4hr. to 1hr. drive.Tell me if it's a daily driver.
Your price range brings you into HIGH MILEAGE with mods.More maintenance. Are you mechanically inclined?
A lot to think about with a modded jeep.
