Depends what kind of shape its in and how it drives.. from the pic above I see upper door not fitting correctly, and front fender bashed.. Look it over really good. Check fluids.. radiator.. not sure if that year had the exhaust/manifold bolt sheer problem or not...

Around here that would sell for over $4k. More information would be useful. It looks like an SE to me. 2.5L 5speed? Does it have any options? What does carfax say? Ever been wrecked or flooded? What does the other side look like?
if you want to stay stock it will be "ok" at best. . if you want to lift bigger tires add wight by geting after market bumbers.. winch ect.. will all bogg it down..stick it out for the 4.0.. most will also say stick it out for a LJ.. ( im not in the LJ group tho.. I dont ride in the back so I dont care about room back there)
dont miss understand jeeps 4 cinder is another engine that will last forever. . it jist has no balls
at 15 the chances of you doing significant mods is not likely.. obviously OM JEEP has sec seeded in havering a 4 bad ass cinder.. most on her will agree that the 4.0 is 100x better tho..
not to be a ass but is it your money or your parents and 3 is most they will spend? i ask b/c if its there money why not spend some of your own as well and get something better?
all that said from the pics.. i guess its not a "bad" first vehicle.. its beat to shit.. but most 16 year olds rides are.. you could do a lot better tho never force a purchase this big.. especially when it comes to jeeps (or anything meant for off-roading)..
I would pass. I feel like its just going to eat out of your wallet too much with how beat it looks.
Im sure with a little more time and patience you can find one cosmetically alot better, clean frame, and mechanically sound with a little more miles for around $3000-$4500.
2.5 vs 4.0
Equally good offroad, just the 4 cylinder is a little sluggish on the highway and bigger tires are alot less forgiving without regearing.
