Goodyear Duratrac vs BFG KM2

I am looking for tires that are good for all terrain as well as highway. I make visits up to the snow as well as the desert and mud so I am looking for a tire that does it all. I hear that these two tires fit the description best and I am trying I decide which is best. Please leave your input. Thanks!

I would go with Duratracs...I had a 31x10.5 set on my old 99 Wrangler, and they were awesome...quieter than I expected, even as they wore. I am putting 32s on my 06 I'm buying next week.

I love BFG KM2s, but the problem I have experienced with them is as they age, they wear poorly and get LOUD. I have taken 25k mile Rubicons in on trade with their original KM2s with plenty of tread left...but they are scalloped and noisy as hell.

TJ Rubicons never came stock with KM2s but instead came with Good Year MTRs.

OP, those are two very different tires. For your purposes I would go with an all terrain tire like the Duratrac. KM2s are a too aggressive for your intended use.

Sorry, I meant to say on JKs...same deal. KM2s just get loud.

Here's my time to whine.. I have about 17k miles on a set of KM2s.. They are now, 2 each in my garage and the better 2 of the set on my trailer... They are by far and away the very worst tire that BFG has ever produced.. I put the old KMs back on my jeep.. They're good for another 12 to 15 k and wearing nice and flat.. Did I mention the KM2s really suc?? I've never been so disgusted with tire wear in my 44 years of driving and buying tires.. In this rare case I did NOT get what I paid for,,, I spent $240 each for four pieces of junk.. It's enough to make me turn Chinese !!
