Cool Got A Wave!!!

Well it took about 2 months... but I finally got a jeep wave. I was beginning to think the whole thing was bogus, but a fellow TJ driver gently saluted me as I passed today.

Maybe you need to start initiating the wave

Winter times a lot of jeepers don't like to move hands off the wheel. If anything they move the fingers which would be harder to see.

I notice every jeep that goes by but i can't say i want to wave in 9 degree weather

Kewl. Around here most TJ folks wave freely, but for some reason the new Jeep JK drivers look at me funny...

Same here, Rogue, but I usually wave at JKs too. Seems like a lot of them have very dark tinted windows. I guess I'll say it out loud......most JK owners just seem to be cut out of different cloth. Not all, just most.

I wave at all of them. Where I work, there are several Jeep Libertys and such, and they all stare at me wondering who I am... Funny.

Recently I've had a few WOMEN in JK'S initiate the wave...up until recently, only JK's who waved were men when I initiated (for the most part...occasionally a woman would wave back, but it wasn't common).

TJ's and YJ's wave all the time...whether I initiate it first or they do.

I think my wife secretly wants her own jeep. I find that in the past weeks she ends up needing to take it even though she has a 2010 Outback! And the first thing she tells me is how many waves she got!

Yeah it is nice to get a wave! I wish it were more common. Seems like when I got my Jeep in 2000, there were a lot of waves. Nowadays though it seems people have lost the spirit. I get the "do I know you?" look mostly, lol.

I bet it's fairly seasonal too. People cold and wanting to stay dry, or the rainy weather around here people are focused on driving. Top down, sunny days, I bet you couldn't drive a couple blocks without getting 'the wave'.

i refuse to wave at jk owners anymore unless they have some sort of modification done to there jeep. every time i wave to one i either get a middle finger or they pull up next to me and tell me to f off. so lesson learned if your in the macomb county mi dont bother waving to jk owners as you will only be hit with disappointment.
