looks awesome. I've often considered doing this to my forest green pearl. I found an exact chrysler match for my color at advance. It's the duplicolor exact match. Did you prime it? did you clear coat it?

Duplicolor 8oz spray is what i used. im no body man by no means but this is what i did. i bought a used bezel just incase i screwed it up. i washed the bezel then scuffed it up with a scotch brite pad, them primered it and scuffed again, then painted, wet sanded with 1000 grit then painted again. i probably should of cleared it but i am inpatient lol. de[ending on tthe sunlight it matches pretty close to the body color but sometimes it is a little more red.

I wish I could get my color out of a can, but I would have to go get it color matched... maybe someday!

You could get close or contrast it with another color.

Have you had the paint on long enough to know if it will peel or not? I really like that idea

Psycho,

Looks very good! I saw a Jeep 2 months ago in a Kohls parking lot that had this done. Made me want to do it then and after seeing yours I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

At first I was like "Ewww", then I was like "Ahhh", then it was "ohhh... nice". Looks much better knowing it is to match the exterior. I'm thinking some black accents to match the seats.

you COULD tear it totally down and repaint it.

Everything comes out very easy except for the airbag. You'll have to paint it in place.

What color was the primer? Gray primer will make it look darker than white.... If you decide to respray. The color should be dead on, but the undercoat will affect the outcome, especially with reds....

Looks good. The only good thing about having a factory color Jeep is all of the factory color accessories you can use. I would love mine to be a unique color but my funds unfortunately wont allow it right now. :-(
