Got my LoD bumper and xrc10 winch installed

So I finally got my LoD competition series front bumper in the mail. Purchased it online 12/15/10, got the email that it shipped a couple days later but then later found out it was back ordered so I didnt finally get it untill today. I was pissed that it took so long but it made me happy when it arrived. I attached my XRC 10k lbs winch and slapped the bumper on there. Its for sure a 2 person job but the only help I had was a floor jack. I was semi pleased with the craftmanship of the bumper, however, not all the holes lined up. One side was perfect but the other side was off. Managed to manhandle the bolts in there and went to bolt up the bottom and those are WAY off. There will be some drilling involved to get those in. Anyway, gonna drill the bottom and get those secured but in the mean time its on there!

haha, I was wondering about that. But congrats on the lift, what size lift and what size tires you gonna move to? Assuming you get new tires that is. But if your jeep is already smashed up then it wont matter if you smash it some more today! Now come to broad run this evening.

Hey Work4Mud, Ive been looking at the same winch. Did you buy it new with your bumper or have you had it a while. Reason I ask is to see how you like it. Its not a bad price for a 10,000 lb winch, just want to get an opinion before spending the cash.

I bought it new a few weeks ago, paid $400 for the winch and got a lifetime electrical warranty and 2 year mechanical warranty with free shipping. It came a few weeks before the bumper did so today was the first day I had a chance to play with it. Other than being heavy as hell I really like it. Seems to be really sturdy, good line speed and strong. I was stretching the line as you should do with any new winch and pulled myself up an incline while applying preasure to the brakes and it didnt even struggle. Im ready for someone to get stuck so I can save the day, lol. If I could go back in time, I would still buy this winch. I dont buy into the warn hype. I have heard as much bad about them as I do about the xrc's. I would, however, consider the hxc or xrh or something like that, its smittybuilts water proof version of the xrc series.

So in the end, you paid good money, waited almost 2 months for and then the POS doesnt fit? Wow you are a patient man. When I got my Savvy it shipped the next day got it a day after that with all the grade 8 hardware needed to mount it and everything fit together like factory. That's what I expect when I spend 3-400 of my hard earned dollars! Well truly when I spend any of my dollars.

Well it was all gravy at first. I got an email saying it shipped the same week, then I happened to be browsing another 4x4 site and saw the LoD bumpers were back ordered 4-6 weeks! By that time I had already paid and already canceled another bumper order from body armor so I said eff it.
