Got my transmission taken out rebuilt and put back in for only 535.00 with tax!
I was looking to get a new transmission and swap mine out. Then a friend told me about a place in Indiana that does good work for cheap. I was scared at first because the price was so low and I herd stories about how people say it will be super cheap then you go to pick it up and its 3 times as much. I took it there and they said about a week. They did the job and told me they didn't get it right so it would be a little longer. So I said ok just let me know when its done. It took about 2 weeks but got it back and so far so good. This work came with a 6 month warranty too. Well we will see how it last. I plan to take it to do some hill climbing this weekend.
6 mos? i still say its way too cheap. when i install a trans the rebuilder we use locally warranties them for 3 yrs.
it costs 500 bux just to r & r a trans, (remove and replace) good luck man, i hope it lasts.
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president." http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/data...re_cowbell.gif
went out today and did slow steep hill climbs with no problems. No wheel spin either. I had a blast, the guys I had with want jeeps now. I grinded the old skid plate a few times to. I had way to much fun. The trans is holding good so far.
The trans is still doing ok. I did notice they forgot to put my flywheel cover on and went back and had it put on. I notice they had cut a small part off and aked what happend. They said it was damaged from the bolts baking out and catching it. The said it was before they took it out. I guess for 535 thats what you get.
