I had one on my Wrangler pickup for a few months while I was building a custom half top for it.

It fit great and sealed very well. The one I had was a special one with a gloss finish, the standard Gr8Tops tops have a textured matte finish.

The only reason I didn't keep it was that I was building something custom with different styling, but were I not building something custom I wold have definitely been happy to keep it.

I'm 6'6", 220 lbs, and very comfortable in the cab. Driven NY to Moab and back, not a problem for me.

Grtops

Just installed one on my '04 Unlimited about a month and a half ago with the help of my brother-in-law. I think it's fantastic and everyone asks questions about the Jeep and top. I bought the XTOP with the speaker pod bulkhead upgrade & tinted rear window. Oh, I just added the 3rd brake light to rid myself of the rooster tail light at the spare tire. I'm located at the Jersey Shore and if I can help with any questions just let me know.

Nice jeep man! Do you think the speaker pods are worth the coin over switching the sound bar around?

Thanks, I really like it over my former 2008 Unlimited. To me at age 62, the speaker pods were worth it as you never know who will be riding with you, and I didn't want the pods over my head. However, in my younger days I would've just switched it out and put the $ elsewhere. I also reinstalled the lights from the original pods to the bulkhead.

Not exactly sure about the total install time as I did it in stages and took it slow. But ALL-in-ALL with tweeking, I would say between 3 to 5 hours. My brother-in-law and I first set the top in position and made sure there was ample space for the door fitments. On my LJ there was an existing 3/8" hole about 7" back from the door which was perfect for anchoring the top. It didn't get in the way of installing the bulkhead at all. So we used a quick release bolt from a hardtop and drilled a hole on each side of the top to help anchor the sides. However, while working by myself, these 2 bolts were left out while I blocked the top up with some wood just enough to allow me to place the bulkhead in position. Then the blocks were removed and the top partially bolted at the sides ~ Doors were checked, 2 side bolts tightened, the bulkhead & top clamped together, then holes were drilled for anchoring the rear of the top and bulkhead. And finally, sealing the entire perimeter of the exterior bulkhead. I also had the bed rhino-lined after sealing the bulkhead. GR8TOPS gives you a choice of a standard finish bulkhead, or a sanded one if you are having the bed sealed. I have a 3 inch lift on my LJ with 33 AT's. GREAT people to deal with at GR8TOPS! Say HI for me to MATT.

Thanks. No, it isn't a Brute, it's a custom build.

I thought I would revive this thread instead of starting a new one. Anymore pics? Thoughts? I'm thinking about getting one for my TJ.
They look a little funny on a regular TJ but perfect on the LJ. There are some TJ's that are killer looking like these...
