Grab Handles

Are the worth buying? Thinking about a set, but I wanted to make sure they are worth having. These are the velcro ones that attach to the roll bar above the doors. Thanks, Scooby

My passengers use mine all the time. Go for it.

My wife thinks that they are the best upgrade I've done to the Jeep. I have four of these:

They seemed like the best quality ones out there and were well worth the price. (I paid $50 for four of them.) I mounted one on each side in the back, one on the front passenger side, and one on the center rollbar between the speeker pods. They get used a lot!

i have 2 sets on for the front one for the rear. they are used quite often by my passengers especially while offroading with no top and doors. it gives them a small sense of protection...i guess?

I just got my MasterCraft ones today, got them especially for my dad to get in and out because of his bad back. He likes 'em!

Amy,

I made some that looked like these:

The foam lasted one trip and the bare web was "hard on the hands" (or so my wife said). Plus, the ends had a tendancey to migrate closer together. She really likes the mastercrafts.

I have the same velcro type Mastercraft with the three staps. They are a real life saver. I really pull hard on mine everytime I get in or out. So far no problems. The feel very secure when you pull on them.

Where did you buy yours? Four for fifty sounds pretty reasonable. Thanks, Scooby

It's cool that you made your own. I'm sorry that they didn't work out.
They definitely need a spacer and I've seen the plastic handles at a hardware store. If you don't care about looks, rubber hose would probably work too. I think I'm going to see what I can come up with.

Anyone has suggestions on where to buy them cheap(er)? The lowest I've seen them priced was 39.99 for a pair.
Thank you!
