grab life by the horns!!

so we all went and had a little fun today this guy shows up in this massive dodge cummins all decked out we hit a small mud pit and all made it exept for the cummins. so i ended up yanking him out turns out the mud pit made him break a control arm and popped a bead on one of his tires oh and his exhaust fell off. i was laughing because my old a$$ jeep was destroying this 60 grand truck. i helped him get the bead to stick and rigged up the control arm and he went home. a few hours later when we left we saw him on the side of the freeway one of his tires shredded off the rim! what a bad day for him.

I got a 03 2500 ram with a Cummins. I would think they are not the best in the mud since they weigh close to 8k pounds. I paid 27k for mine used and I wouldn't go boggin with it.

I agree with Landon, I think that beast would be too big to bog.

But does your Jeep have black tail light covers?

That's a very nice truck, But I can tell you from experrence that 9k lb trucks don't do well in mud.

Didn't even see that it was mud, A 2wd tundra had to pull me out Is it even worse that it happened right behind my backyard?

I wouldn't mock the truck. They are designed for a whole different use than mudding. Do you think guys with Cummins laugh at guys with Jeeps trying to tow big loads?
Do you think you should be towing an excavator up a steep grade with your Jeep? Probably not. The guy just wanted to go out and have some fun, didn't work out as expected, lesson learned.
I can't stand "brand bashing" to make oneself feel/look better.
I may be biased as a former Cummins owner, those motors are more ridiculous than you will probably ever know.....I know I miss mine but fuel expense pushed me into a more economical toy.

Jeeps are great for many things, serious towing is not one of them.
Dodge Cummins are great for many things, mudding is not one of them...

It's not a cummins but I do use my duramax to pull my jeep on a trailer. The duramax won't make it where I run my jeep but it gets better MPG pulling the jeep and trailer combined than the jeep gets on its own.

The right tool for the job goes a long way.

Haha I had a massive power stroke on 40x15.50s with around 550hp and tried to bog it a few times. Never got stuck but I tore something up every time. Way happier offloading my little jeep. She's a beast!

I have an 08 f250 tow pig with the 6.4. It's on 35's stock height tuned to 650hp and somewhere 1250 tq but I wouldn't wheel it. That crew cab, heavy truck, along with low clearance doesn't do it any good. One thing, it's a hell of a hot rod truck...lol.
