You go aftermarket or stock replacement?
2 things, one: the original steering was bent, was it the components or something it attaches to?
Two: When you greased it, did they take the grease? How many pumps? The grease dams should have a release for excess grease and you should grease them (especially the first time) until grease starts to escape.
They shouldn't rip unless there is no grease in there or something else is causing it.
Are they ALL torn, or just some?
