Grill removal question

I did some searching on here but couldn't find a clear answer. I need to replace the grill on my 98 TJ. I have the passenger side front fender off and going for the drivers side soon. I also know it has a bolt underneath the grill. The big question is, do I need to disconnect those AC lines to the condensor (and discharge/recover the gas) to fully remove the grill?

The reason I'm replacing the grill and fenders are due to damage.

Thanks for any help.

Umm you shouldn't need to remove the fenders to pull the grille.
If memory serves me, 5 bolts on each side of the grill hold it to the fender. One underneath, and unbolt the rad/condenser. You should be able to remove it without disconnecting the lines to the condenser. And yeah, you'll need to unplug the lamps and unhook the harnesses clipped to the grille too.

Not as easy if the rad and such was out of the way, but it can be done.

No he doesn't, I replaced my grill years ago and it was simple if I remember.

Thanks guys. I'm only pulling the fenders cause they were buckled from a rollover. Going to give it a shot in the next couple days. Thanks for the replies!
