What is this wash and wax you are talking about? Where you taking it to the mall or something?

2nd. Coat of Carnuba applied............

Just got done applying the lotion to the Unlimited. Looks real gooooooddddd. I know you guy's frown upon this , but that's the way I take care of my stuff. And this jeep is too nice to abuse. I just take it to the beach all year. So that is the extent of it's wheelin . If you can call the beach wheelin. This thing has never seen mud. And it has'nt been in the rain once since I bought it last year. ...........Who know's maybe one of you guy's will buy it someday.

While everyone else is polishing their jeep's , check under the stock spare tire carrier and under the stock rear license plate holder,and.......under the front latch hold downs that are mounted on the front fender. You will observe alot of corrosive crapola on the sheet metal behind these items....

I feel BIMBY's joy, even without the pictures, having tongue bathed my baby today. I'll post mine in BIMBY's honor.

hey, i see nothing wrong with washing and waxing, i try to wax at least once a year to protect the paint. and i always spend a few hours washing after wheeling. they will rot out to junk if you don't.

i got turned onto the lawn sprinkler trick from some guys on here.

put the lawn sprinkler under it for an hour or two, moving positions from time to time. you know the one you play in as a little kid. then wash the under neath and it really gets rid of just about everything. its also an art, it takes a while to learn where all the junk hides.

It's an accomplishment to keep 'em looking nice after some serious mud slinging. Here's a pic of my '99 Sahara in the Summer of '08. It lives in Minnesota snow/salt/sand all Winter and mud during the Summer but sometimes it's nice to shine it up and surprise people when they find out it's 10 years old.

My comment was meant towards the OP making fun of people of who wash their Jeep. It felt like that but that is what I was asking if he was or not. I'm all about taking care of your vehicles.

It shouldn't be. There's nothing wrong with taking care of a several thousand dollar investment, wheter it's a mud rig or a mall rig.

Nothing wrong with a clean rig. I get my jeep dirty and then love to have it spic'n clean.

I do like the idea of running a sprinkler system underneath...

I am afraid to wash mine!! She has been almost trouble free since I took delivery in 2002, why tempt the Jeep Gods..

Really though I give mine a good hand wax with a couple coats once a year and the paint looks real good for a 7 year old.

I agree....wash and wax is not a bad idea....but come on, A 12PK OF HEINEKEN?!!!
These TJ's are actually the only vehicle that looks good either cleaned up, or with mud all over it. Either way, it's a purty site!!

Indeed! this is the first wash my TJ has seen since I bought it...decided 3 months was long enough.

My Non jeep gets washed and waxed at least monthly. and I don't drive it much. I did encounter a rouge rainstorm last week in it, so its awaiting wash in my garage. Tues. is "wash the lotus day".

Today is "change jeep transmission fluid day "
