Gun Rack??

Hey guys, I just got a jeep not to long ago...well the reason we got it was just for hunting....well come to find out its pretty hard to keep a gun in the jeep....u can put it in the back, but its hard to get i was wondering if yall knew of any kind of gun rack that is for the jeep....just so yall know i have a 99 soft top......any help would be great...

What kind of rifles are you going to be using? Because jeeps are not the most secure of vehicles have you considered the lock racks that are used in law enforcement vehicles? If you have a hard top or rollbar they do make one that mounts on the roof so it's out of sight. The cool thing is you can wire them with a quick release button so you don't have to fumble with a key. I would mount it center of the vehicle just in front of the back seat.

were can i look at those? im using huntin rifles....30-06, 270, 300, those kinds...and i dont leave them in the jeep, but i need place to put them while driving around...

Saw one today on a 1952 Willis. It mounts on the dash and will fit a M-1, Thompson Sub-Machine Gun, or a BAR. Guy said you can get them if you look up antique military vehicles mags.

If you are hunting alone or just wiff one person, I would think about removin the rear seat. Make it easy to remove via the tailgate and you could use some straps or something to hold the rifles down utilizing the seat brackets.

Just a thought
