Ha yep you suck, you lucky dog! Wow what a great trip, I'm glad you had a great time. As much as I'd love doing the Rubicon, I'm not so sure I'll ever be able to due to the time involved in doing it right. Thanks for posting the pics!!

Most people take 4-5 days... this is due to going in the LONG way, from Loon Lake.... Took us 14 hours from the time we left home to get to the camp site. Loon is only 2-3 hours from Reno....

It can be done in two days, but you have no time to enjoy the beauty that encompasses the Rubicon

Those sheriff jeeps are badass. Nice pics, looks like loads of fun. Think i could do the rubicon with 2.5" lift and 31s? Haha

Considering that jeep tests their stock rigs on the Rubicon, you should be fine! You might bottom out a few times and maybe a few scratches/dents on your rockers, but you can make it

I think it sounds more threatening than it is. I dont have rockers yet, but maybe when i get them ill give it a go.

louie,

I did it last year on 2"BB and 31's. Now you will drag a lot and as said... It's all on the lines you take.. Going over is often better than going around.

Going over is better? Seems like youd get stuck more haha. I want to do it someday, just dont know when. By the way, i finally found a new home for that driveshaft. My friend dented his so its being put to good use.

You might get stuck more, but remember...the veiw is ALWAYS better on top, than it is when you're under the rocks!

Myself and a dozen other Utah rigs (not all of them are Jeeps) are headed out to run the Rubicon this week. I've been looking forward to this trip all summer.

When you pick your lines.... keep on the high rocks with your rubber.... much less likely to get caught underneath...you never know what lies ahead that you can't see... like a drop that high-centers you... I did it because I didn't pay attention to my line and got hung up on the rear diff AFTER I slid across on my high clearance skid....
