Long story short, TJ is going for an estimate for the damages it incurred in an accident, was frontal damage to the passenger side. Needs a fender, fog light and tub repair, the fender wrinkled and pushed out the tub a little at the edge where it meets the fender. I'm just wondering if anybody had their tub repaired before and thoughts on cost. Its not crazy damage but I know its gonna be a time thing to repair.
From the look of this image in his album, i would think not since the bumper still looks straight.
Doesn't look too bad from that image angle at the tub. Looks like should be easy depending on how close any thing is to it for them to work on the inside. So might be low on the cost to work it out. IF they have to remove parts of the heating/AC system to get more room to hammer it out, then might go up.
Didnt hit the tire at all, was a low speed hit, the bumper took most of the impact and it was a toyota rav4 that i hit on angle from behind And it was the tire carrier on that vehicle that broke my fog, and pushed the fender in and back. Happened at about 15mph.
its a little messed up, im guessing heating and straightening and then repaint to repair. Its being covered partially as i was struck from behind and pushed into vehicle i struck after the initial impact
It would be better for a higher estimate, cause insurance will probably only will cover 50% of it cause he hit me from behind, the front was mostly caused only by me. The rear damages would be fully covered. He ran into my trailer hitch with an acura rl and didnt even get close to the jeep.
In that case just take it as is, i'm sure they be able to bend it back proper, my jeep was hit from the front before i owned it, only reason i noticed is because the paint was so new on that side.
For what its worth that really sucks that happened to you dude.
2824$ visual inspection. Probly will go up when it comes apart to be fixed. Gotta wait for that insurance company to finish their investigation and say how much of that they are going to pay. Also a 8 day repair, they would cover a rental while it gets fixed
Damn, pretty sure you can pick up a replacement fender for a few hundred bucks and paint it (the shop, not you) i wonder why they're so hell bent on fixing it
I'm still trying to figure out why you are partially responsible for repairs if someone hit you from behind and pushed you into the car in front. Or did you hit the Rav first and then the Accura hit you?
Yes i hit the rav4 then the acura hit me. So i was at fault for the front fully if it wasnt for the acura also hitting me after which may make it 50% payable on his insurance
Well i got a call from that insurance yesterday and from what it sounded like since i didnt have any rear damage that they were finished and i'm not getting anything
Makes you wonder why you paid all that money for all them years. Insurance companys are so frustrating to me.
