Currently in the summer fever mode, looking to get a half cab soft top. I like the summer combo tops but am looking for a more enclosed type of deal, the weather is quite unpredictable sometimes haha. Right now the only ones that I know of are the Bestop half top and the Rampage half top. Does anyone have experience with either of these tops? Any other tops in this style that are out there either?

Jeeps are small enough, that just seems a bit too claustrophobic to me. You're also going to need door surrounds, a tailgate bar and tailgate bar brackets.

I was just about to ask the same question. I was looking at this:
https://www.quadratec.com/products/11133_1512_07.htm

I have a hardtop only TJ, and so my question is do I need door surrounds on top of this combo? None of the pics I can find really show clearly.
Thanks
If you were to read the installation instructions for the Pavement Ends Sun Cap. It shows no door surrounds needed. You will need a windshield channel though

Bestop makes a "Header Bikini top", and a "Wraparound Windjammer" that would serve your purposes well. Both attach to the door surrounds, and between the two cover the entire cab. The only place you might get leakage is around the rollbar.

I did read the instructions before posting.
There is no mention of the gap between a full steel door frame and the roll bar, which would be open space with this product if it is exactly as the single photo indicates, (and according to the installation info, which details attaching the top to the roll bars and the provided windshield channel.)
This is why I was asking the question.
Anyone with any experience with this top?

By the looks of it that is nothing but a safari top with a window panel that goes between the roll bar. Doesn't matter if you have hard doors with door surrounds or half doors this will not be a weather proof top. It will have several places where rain, dust and the elements will come in. If you want a soft top that can double as a safari top take a look at the Rampage frameless. https://www.quadratec.com/products/11119_1115_07.htm

You will need door surrounds, a tailgate bar and, tailgate bar brackets.

You can go frameless for $360-$650 depending on how complete the kits are. The frameless top attaches a top from the header back and then the windows attach with velco. You can then run stagecoach style with no sail panels to flap. When the windows are in it is a little harder to get it looking as neat as the full top with frame.
I have no problem with my frameless top looking "neat". Also these windows zip in with a velcro flap to weather seal the zippers

One without the widows, in Safari top configuration, Cargo nets do not come with the top.

Those will keep most but not all of the dust and more importantly water out. Your best bet is to see if you can find a TJ top frame or even complete top and if the fabric is in bad shape, get the replacement fabric. Or you can order the Bestop complete top with frame, but it is $900. You can then remove the windows (putting them between the tumbled rear seat and the front seat and run stagecoach style. At highway speeds you will get some flapping of the sail panels.

Or you can just remove the hardtop and go topless. Removing the top and doors is called running naked. (If the doors have never been removed, read up on the forums about removing doors that have been on for a while, it can get involved).

Here is what the Bestop Wraparound Windjammer looks like. As you can see, it doesn't have the gaps and spaces to let the weather in. I use one for my half top and it works great.

Bestop Wraparound. Uses factory surrounds. Seals almost completely.
I find it a little claustrophobic and confining.
Most of the time I just run with the Safari and Duster. With the door surrounds, the top stays tight and the windows can seal most the weather out.

Sporadic update here, I had ordered a quadratec summer combo. The Bimini, Duster, Cab Divider. Was not impressed after following the directions and the bimini flying up on the highway, also a ripped strap. It has been returned and defects have been noted to quadratec customer service. On order now is the Bestop Half Cab which I was too cheap to buy the first time. Will post pictures of everything related to it including a bunch of interior shots that I've been unable to find.

The wrap around would be to claustrophobic for me. My summer top is the safari top and a tonneau cover. Plenty of air flow since I have no ac:happyyes: If its calling for rain I just throw the cab cover on while parked.
