Hard Top

Hello everyone,
I need your suggestions please. Now that I am moved into the new place the hardtop has no more home. Storage is expensive I am pricing around $70 a month.
The landlord said to keep it on their yard but when he sees it, it is an eyesore and he is not going to like what he sees because I do not and it is not my house, not to mention he wants it on saw horses which it is now and I am not too crazy about that it idea.
I have visions of his wife wacking the saw horse with the lawnmower and there goes the top.
So I may just sell it and keep the soft top for now, I can take the tinted windows out and put the clear ones in during the winter so as not to ruin them.
The hard top is in excellant condition with all the electronics working, what do you think I could get for it. I am considering putting it on craigslist so they can come pick it up. Thanks

According to to Kelly blue book, if a Jeep has a hard top it is worth an extra $600. That is what I found when I was looking for my 98 sport that I purchased last month. Hope that helps.

Hardtops sell for 700-1000. And I have seen them for more or less. Newer with tinted windows will get more.

I took the hard top off of my LJ/TJ and purchased a soft top that I love. Being in Ga. I don't think that I will ever use it again. I bought a stand for it from Quadratec and it fits nicely in front of my Jeep in the garage. I will probably sell it when the weather starts getting cooler. But the stand may be a solution for you or the hoist that hangs it from your garage ceiling

I have one of the hoists and it works great. Its power and it really makes it easy to lift the top. The only issue is that my garage ceiling is a little low so the overall room in the garage looks small on one side. I think the storage cart looks great for you in this situation, but it might be hard for you to take off and on. (not sure if you have sons, etc who can help you). Thats my 2 cents

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, my options are black and white. Keep it or sell it, I only have a yard to keep the top in and their lawn is meticulous. So they want it on saw horses so I do not kill the lawn which I cannot blame them.
My Sister may have a spot in their yard for it, if not I will probably put it on craigslist and see what I can do. Thanks again

But hey on a bright note, if I got a grand for my top that will get me my lift plus install. Only problem is, a 2" BB might look funny with LT 235 tires so if I sell it I will bank the cash and save until I can afford 5 tires and another rim. My spare is still stock which I need to remove, that is why I have it covered.

Hard top storage.

Up until last year I stored my hard top with tinted windows in my back yard in a corner. I taped all the vents and rear window up with blue tape. I made a nice wood platform for it to cradle in and covered it good and tight with a blue tarp. I did this for 5 summers and it worked fine. I would check the gaskets each winter and add a little vasaline to keep from cracking.
Only problem was the messy clean up in Novemeber when I put the hard top back on. The clean up took about one hour. The top was fine and still looks great.
I now moved to a new house with a garage.
My advise store it in the yard.
