Does anybody know Where I can get a new plug for the hard top. I have to the wire harness that's inside jeep running to the back, but the hard top I got has no plug. Just the wire that has been cut.

Check at a wrecking yard for a plug or if you don't find one there contact me and I have a extention for my hard top it is extention of the wires coming out of the hard top I don't need the extention. You'd be able to cut it in half and wire it by colors of wire to your hard top
If it is a pre-2003 hardtop, hit a pick a part, look for a Dodge Stratus or Chrysler Sebring late 90's vintage. Open hood, find fuse box just beyond radiator on right side as facing car. You will find the connector you need between the radiator and fuse box.
I am going by memory, but, you will find a lot of these in the boneyards. Then follow the link that Neil F. gave you and you should be set.
Remove the 3 screws on top of the motor, and you will find another connected that goes from the hard top to the motor. It is a 5 pin connector, but only 3 are used. 12V, ground and park I believe.
I am not sure where the wires for the defrost branch off.
If you are going to make up your own connectors/wire harness, pay close attention to wire sizes, you don't want a fire.
I have a 2004 Sahara that came with a soft top and I picked up a hard top form a 1999 or 2000. I live in South Carolina so don't need rear window defrost and I have had rear wipers on other cars and never used them so I'm not going to hook any of that up. What I find odd is there is a wiring harness in the Jeep that comes down the drivers side to the rear corner, it has a plug on the end of it but I don't remember the number of connections in the plug. I do not have the switches for rear wiper or defrost. What could this be for, any ideas?
Not trailer I have a hitch and is wired for trailer. I think you got it with the pre wire for a hard top. I guess they installed the pre wire but did not add any switches. Very good, thanks.
Here is a picture of the motor side of the connector. I previously stated it was a five wire connector, with only 3 used. It is a 3 wire connector, all 3 used. the other 2 holes are to help disassemble.
If the PO totally hacked up the wiring, any 3 pin connector will work as long as it is heavy enough. For this one, you could easily use a trailer wiring connector.
I would have expected those to be included, that stinks. Probably have to go to the dealer for those. I would definitely use a torque wrench when tightening those to the window, I have seen a lot of posts of people shattering the glass.
Im returning the hinge and buying different ones. Hopefully they come with the oring thingys. Im probably gona get glass from "glass doctor" they will do the installation for me.
