hard top question

ok ive got a 2003 tj with the factory soft top installed... i had my hard top repaired due to the fiberglass being all jacked up so now ive got to get it home i was wondering if there was a way to put the hard top on without fully removing the soft top.... i know i cant have the soft top up and the h/t on at the same time but im feeling lazy today and im not quite ready to winterize everything just yet.
Thanks in advance i know my fellow w/f members wont let me down

I have seen some with the soft top folded very nicely behind the rear seat with it still attached at the roll bars, and the hard top slides by it.

Yes you can fold the soft top down and then install the hardtop. It used to come like that from the factory if you opted for the dual-top option.

I bought my TJ as a used vehicle and the softop was on (but folded back) together with the hardtop.

You can fold it down and install the hardtop for the drive home but it is not recommended for everyday driving.

I recently bought a '03 model and from the looks of it the soft top has been folded down with the hard top mounted from day one with no damage whatsoever.
