Hard top to soft top conversion

Hi all! I recently bought a super clean '97 tj but with a hardtop only. It also appears its never so much as had the hard top off at any point in its life as the interior is almost showroom condition.

My question is what in the world do I need to do and what is entailed with removing the hardtop and replacing it with a soft top?

Any tips or suggestions y'all could provide me with would be appreciated.

Unbolt the 6 torx that hold the top on, get a buddy to help lift it off.... Ta da! Then buy a top that fits your year (97-02) Bolt the 4 screws into the mounting brackets that you may or may not have to mount on the roll bars and raise it, zip in the windows and you're done.

It should also be mentioned that the video above showes the factory top, which can now be bought directly from Bestop as the Supertop NX I believe. The regular Supertop has a slightly different bow system due to the fact that Bestop couldn't sell the actual factory soft top hardware until recently.

Wow thanks for the replies especially from the "Dude" on a personal note your my hero. The video was really informative and the top is ordered. Going with the Besttop Supertop. Once I get the softop on look for a big fat for sale sign on the hard top.
