Exclamation Hard wiring into cigarette lighter....

I am hard wiring a PA system and radar detector into my cigarette lighter and i need to know which one is - and which is +. I have a 2002 TJ.

No, no, no--you're going about it wrong. Don't cut any wires (I hope I'm not too late). Instead, buy an Add-A-Fuse or two and graft into your fusebox.



Simple, elegant and easily reversible.

Yes, or AutoZone, or O'Reilly, or wherever. Maybe even Wal-Mart.

Follow the instructions for installing the unit itself--it's very easy. (Be sure to use a switchable power source.) Crimp the pigtail onto your device's positive wire. Connect your device's negative wire to any convenient ground. Voila! You're done.
