Hardtop

My '04 wrangler x came with a soft top from the factory. If I buy a used hard top for my jeep, do I need to replace the surrounds that came with the soft top? I don't plan to switch out my half doors and sliders if I can get a hard top.

The hardtop has a lip that does the same thang as the door surrounds!

Yes, you have to remove the surrounds in order to get the hardtop on!

yupp as everyone else said just take them off, you said you had half doors and so do i, with the hard top and upper door sliders you might have spots where a lot of air come in, atleast i did, i just put some weather stripping around the lip that blkrubi88 is talking about
