Hardtop ID Question

I have an 2000 Jeep TJ Sport and just bought a hardtop for it and I need to no what year it is to buy a wiring kit from Quadratec any help would be great

if you bought it used, try to contact the seller and ask them, that would be the easiest way. the second option you have is to ask geoff@bestop to see if there are any tricks to identifying it. if you are using it on your 2000 TJ, then you can rule out the unlimited wiring kit.

Guess Quadratec has not changed their info (not supprised) You need to buy the kit for the year of the Jeep and not the year of the top http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/99-h...con-63113.html

97-00 tops have vents behind the side windows. 03-06 top do not. If you have a 03-06 top you need an adaptor or wire it yourself. I posted the pin out tin the thread link. jeepsrus.com sells the adaptor.

It has the vents but I still need to no if it's 97-00 or 01-03

The exact top year does not matter. The connector on the top only differed 97-02, 03-06. The kit you buy for you 00 Jeep will plug in, no adaptor required.

Yes it does matter quadratec said 97-00 is one kit and 01-03 is another kit, my jeep doesn't have any wirnig so I need to no which year my hardtop is

If you are going by this information on the Qtec site"Must order according to year of Hard Top." It is wrong! Read the link I posted. If you TJ is a 00, you need the wiring kit for a 00.
