Hardtop latches

I I bought a hardtop from craigslist for 30 bucks ( can't beat it) but it doesn't have any latches. Do you think it will be fine without the latches as long as I got all the bolts in or better question has anyone tried this? Thank in advance.

No! The wind noise alone there is crazy loud with latches.

Drive slow with the wind to your back.

And use a lot of duck tape. Good luck. Seriously, if you look around (Craigslist, Jeep junkyards, etc.), you may find where someone has a damaged hard top. It may be cracked so bad, that you get it for almost nothing. But, all you are really after is just the hardware.

Unfortunately, there is always a Jeep somewhere getting involved in an accident. Keep your eyes peeled. You never know what may pass your way.

You sure it is a TJ top? YJ tops have no latches. They use screws.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll do some more research to see it it's a tj hardtop or not. Hell it was only $30 bucks.

Not sure but my 2000 factory hard top looks made similar. It is way more rounded in back and has ridges on top. My guess is it's a factory YJ top (used Google images to make that conclusion) rear windows are pricy too.

A picture from the inside looking at the header would answer the question. Are there two indented spots for the latches?
