Hardtop on an '04 Rubicon?

I have a 1999 Wrangler sport with soft top and factory hardtop. I am looking at an '04 Rubicon and wondered if the hardtop I have will fit on the Rubicon.

Anyone know?

I believe so? I dont think anything changed other than the soft top material (doesnt matter about the hardtop though) and the plastic trip around the windshield.

I wouldnt think there would be any reason why it wouldnt fit. Just FYI, if you get a 05 rubi (or an Jeep for that matter) youll get a granny gear Dont know if it matters to ya, but just thought Id remind ya (dont forget the entire 6 spd trans is geared lower I believe it is, so that it revs higher. Nicer off road but burns more gas.. plus we are having some issues with the 6 spds)

They changed the header mounting on both the soft and hard tops in 03. So a 99 hardtop will not fit on an 04.

Thanks.

Someone poiinetd me to the Whitney catalog and the Besttop model fits 1997-2003. Hmm.

I had no intention of buying another but I wnet to the dealership to look at a car that my wife is interested in ('07 Murano) and this guy just brought it in to trade. It is a yellow '04 Ribicon with a ragtop with 13K.

They showed me what they gave him for it and offered me a package deal at that number. I couldn't really look too closely at it because the owner was signing papers on his new pickup. I'm going to look at it tomorrow.

5 spd is fine for me, I will miss Lo Spark, though. I have her where I want her.
