Has anyone fully bedlined?

I'm wanting to fully bedline my Jeep, but don't really want to pay the $3400 the shop wants for full int/ext bed lining . Has anyone done this themselves with a roll on liner? What brand did you do with, how many gallons did it take, and how long did it take you from start to dry?

I bedlined the entire tub with monstaliner. They sell a kit that is perfect for a TJ tub.

Takes a lot of time in prep. Prep, prep, and more prep. I spent an entire Saturday on Prep.

1st Coat Sunday morning, and finished the second coat that evening. Then you have to let cure for at least 24 hours and then reassemble everything.

Prices and colors here: www.Monstaliner.com

Good write up here: Monstaliner: A Full Install Write-Up - JeepForum.com

I was looking at Mostaliner because it comes in the colors. I'm watching to turn my red Jeep black with the Predator green accents, because I feel like red is really overdone. I just didn't know how it compared to the other brands and/or the professional job. To get it done at the shop it was gonna be $3400 and they needed my Jeep for two weeks. Because my Jeep is my DD, I didn't wanna be without if for that long. Can I go straight from Red to Black, or would I need a primer first? And how many gallons does that kit come with? Did you use it all?

Used every drop. 1 full gallon iirc.

No primer necessary, the stuff is THICK. As far as the quality it is top notch, but it will depend on proper prep and careful masking. Masking is very very important for clean lines and no spills.

How many gallons did it take you to do the two coats on it? Or was it already done when you bought it? I don't wanna order too much or too little.

That looks really good! I'm thinking I'm gonna make this my spring or summer project. I just wasn't sure exactly what to use or how much to order.

I believe in the whole "it's your jeep do what you like to it" thing but unless your paint is chipping and or just really sun damaged... I wouldn't monster line your whole jeep! Especially your DD! If you really don't like the Red paint then save up some more money and have a shop professionally paint it black! It will look a ton better then monster line! IMO

It is chipping and fading in a lot of places, plus I really like the look and durability of it. From what I've heard, it doesn't add too much weight, and I get pretty rough with her on the trails, the extra protection from scratches and dents would work wonders. I believe in "dents just show character", but I don't like the rust potential from some of the scratches I've put in her.

Cool!! Sounds like you have some pretty good reasons! If you do decide to do it let us now! I wouldn't mind seeing it! Good luck

How much did it run you? That time frame is a lot better than what I was quoted for Rhino.

$1,800 for the inside tub done in black, and the exterior color matched and clear coated for uv protection.

Go monstaliner. Once my paint craps out its on my list. Look up OverkillYJ's jeep. I couldn't even tell it was bedliner until I got up close and saw the texture. Stuff is awesome

That's a little out of my price range, although much cheaper than I was quoted for Rhino. If it turns out I can't do it myself, I may go that route. Thanks.

The first mod I did was to roll Monstaliner in my tub, I still think it was the best money Ive spent thus far. I may end up doing the outside at some point.

Yea if I ever do it I will use raptor liner and tent it yellow and do it myself, for about $500 on the high side.
