Head gasket leaking

Hi ladies and gents...

I noticed my head gasket is leaking oil and I don't have any more funds to fix it yet. Still saving up for a stroker motor. I am wondering if anyone has used the Bar Leak Engine oil stop leak repair that comes in a bottle. Any pros and cons about using this? How long have you had it? Thanks again...

First off, I wouldn't use any of that crap.
If your head gasket is leaking oil, it won't help anyway, as that stuff is for the cooling system/ coolant leaks.

Unless it's leaking oil to the point of being a nuisance I would leave it alone. My '99 seeps (not enough to drip) oil from between the block and head on the passenger side. I'll power wash the motor and then a month later it's damp again. It's done this for years and never gets worse.

Mine is doing the same thing as yours. I noticed the oil saturate the passenger side of the engine block below the head gasket. I degreased it and comes back after several days, not enough to drip oil.

I will stay away from it and keep cleaning them off then.

Don't use it I had the same problem. I took the valve cover off to replace the gasket, thinking it was my problem. I found out the gasket was sitting on the ground cable in the block, whoever put the cover on put it on wrong. Might be on wrong...
