I'm either going to paint or rhino line the grill to avoid those ugly road rock chip marks... plus I think it looks cool

if your just going for the looks I'd say do the paint, wait... (rattle can or professional/personal), if you want it just b/c the chips do the rhino line or line X works good. the only problem with that is it's expensive, takes them time to do it, and if you mess it up it has to go back in for another day. with the rattle can you can do trail touch-up.

with the rhino lining you also have to think about how hard it is to get clean. if you get mud and dirt on them it wont just wash of with a hose, and if you wash it with soap and a rag or wash mit it leaves a bunch of white fibers all over it. if its not a big deal to break out the pressure washer everytime you clean then go for it. but like said above, post pics so everyone can get a peek...

I guess I would tend to sway just the opposite direction. The lined grill has been the simplest surface to keep clean. I don't really soap it when I go the wash. Just spray it clean and forget about it.

when I had my dodge truck I had it line X in the bed. all I had to do to clean it was grab a bucket of soapy water maybe a scrub brush if I let the mud sit in the bed too long. and it would come right out. its a great idea to do the grill, but expensive.

You keep saying it is expensive but it isn't that bad. I took a grill off the front, plugged up all the holes I didn't want bed liner in, and dropped it off. 180 dollars and a day later I had it back and ready to toss it in. They completely encapsulated the grill with Line-X.

Another jeep I built

I guess I'm saying that with the experiance of doing the bed of my truck, cost...$490. it might be cheeper because they don't have to tape everything off. to do the spray.

I wanted to line my whole grill until I realized what a pain in the ass removing it seemed to be. Is it a pain in the ass to remove? Mines parked on base with my Trans Am for sale right now but I'm probably gonna keep it unless I get my askin price. I would still like to line it though so how long did it take to remove?

you aren't motivated enough if you have to ask how long it takes.

I am motivated enough but the manager at my apartment complex is gonna evict us if she sees me working on my Jeep again and I don't have anywhere else to do it. So if it only takes like an hour or something I can probably do it fast enough without being seen.

man that sucks!!! i would imagine its because they dont want fluids all over the parking lot or they just think it looks bad? who knows what stupid little reason they have for that. just tell her that as soon as she starts paying your service or repair bills you will stop fixing stuff yourself!!!

I want to but I don't wanna start stuff so if I have to I do it as discretely as possible. But they don't mind when I'm fixin the freakin rusted nails that me and my neighbors trip on and the ones that puncture our feet. I had to put my speakers and headlights in at the car wash.
