Cool Headlights

Just installed a couple of 100V/90W H4's, with a relay harness, to replace the 55W H4's I put in back in 2004. Has anyone used these for on highway use. There are no street lights in the area I live in and there are a lot of those HID blue lights running around. I guess my concern is getting flashed that my high beams are on. Since they are low beams and my lights are focused properly I don't think they will blind many people. I also have 55W Black magic driving lights for highway use.

I don't see it as a problem as long at you headlights are ajusted correctly the brightness won't effect the on comming drivers.

I had them with Xenon 55W but now they are 90W. No one ever flashed me before since I adjusted them when I installed them so I should be ok. I will find out tomorrow at 6:30 am when I leave for work after 2 weeks off.

Just fine unless there's a light bar with funny red/blues on top of the other car. Are they DOT approved for on road use?

First morning today, no daylight from when I left at 6:30am until after 7 sometime (arrived at teh office at 7:45, no one flashed me and they seem much better than the 55W xenon's I was running. Their adjustment must be fine since I was stopped behind a Miata and they were not lighting up the back of this head. High beams are awesome.

I was thinking about FatBoy's but there are too many as*holes on my 100 mile RT commute every day. They are lucky NJ is not a right to carry state.

So, on my stock '02 the headlights are real dim, whether its on high beams or not. What would be the best option to replace those? I don't plan on adding any lights anywhere else, but just the best option to replace those.

Go with the Delta Xenons, they are DOT approved. I will have to change my off road lights out before NJ state inspection. Also have to disconnect the Air Horns and hook up the driving lights to go off when the high beams are on. I will put it all back the way they were before inspection.

I recently put in IPF cases with Fatboy bulbs. Big improvement over stock and you wont need a new harness. I got flashed regularly until I adjusted them properly. Now it's only once in a great while.

The silverstar bulbs might be nearly as good at a cheaper price.

I also put 55w silverstars in the foglights...another big improvement. I tried to find the 65w ones locally, but had no luck.

I know it's not legal, but I did the fuse leg bend so the foglights work with the highbeams. Lots of side "deer lighting" with highbeams....I must add I live in the boonies and am not too concerned about the "man"

Sounds like the same thing but here goes...I changed to IPF lights with silverstar ultra bulbs...no problems w/ 75rt commute (I go to work @ 0330)...in about 6 months only one "flasher" but that is where the PIAA 525's come into play...flash with the HB's and the HB's on the 525's!! ...
