Heater Issue

Not quite sure what happened but looking for some assistance with what might have happened with my heater. The last couple of days I have noticed a slight rubber/plastic burning smell. I could never find the source of the smell. Today right after I started my Jeep the heater stopped blowing. It works fine on high but nothing on the lower settings. It's not really the end of the world right now, since Spring is setting in on Virginia Beach area but not really trying to let it go to long, don't want to forget about it next winter. Thanks for any tips.

Also, is it worth pulling my AC system? I don't think that I have ever had the AC on. Just thinking of places to save weight and space. I am trying to clear out all of the garbage that is unnecessary. Thanks.
