Heater Not Working Properly

when i turn on the heater hot air does come out, but it only comes out of the defrost vents. I can control the temp, and the force that the air comes out, but not the vent that it comes out. when i turn the knob that controls the vent changes it still only comes out the defrosters. (ie: when i have the knob set to come out at my feet or at my face it only comes out the defrost). I have checked all of the fuses and they were all fine. and i dont think it is the switch b/c if that were bad i would think that it wouldn't work at all. my only other thought is there is a leak or problem in one of the vacuum lines. is there anything else that it could be that i am not thinking of? i just need to know before i start tearing stuff out to get to the lines.

yep, vacuum line. common prob, with no vacuum it defaults to the defrost. follow the vacuum line out the firewall to see where its broke or off.

call me anything but a honda driver. it should be on the passenger side if i remember right, its the only vacuum line coming through the firewall, and it should be connected to a vacuum source obviously. maybe a tj guy can chime in on where it is exactly, its been a while since i've had to fix one.
