There's nothing on the front of the block below the water pump that will leak coolant, right below the pump is the timing case. Are you sure the leak isn't from above the pump, running down behind the pulley giving a false impression that it's below? Sounds like you have a huge hole if it's coming out with no pressure in the system. The water outlet is often a culprit, which is right above the pump and can have a crack in its housing, leak from the gasket, the radiator or heater hose connection, or the temp sender. The water pump also has a tube threaded into the left side of its housing going to the heater hose. Something to consider, but not likely.
