Hella Fog Lamps

I just bought a 97 wrangler and it came with a pair of Hella 500 fog lamps mounted just below the windshield on the two sides, but they will not turn on. I am new to auto electrical wiring and would like to fix them but am not sure where to begin. If anyone has any ideas feel free to share them.

Thanks,
Ben

I actually just installed a pair of these today and I've never installed fog lights before. I did some google searches and found what I needed to install them because the diagram they give you isn't very clear. If you search the forum there is a lot of info about fog lights.

For what it's worth.....

May I suggest you put your fogs on your bumper..... long range lights go by the wind shield.

The difference between fogs and driving lights is the way the light is output.
Fogs put out a low wide beam (Keeping the glare down for better visibility... when mounted low) , driving lights put out a longer skinnier beam.
This is a rough idea ... Fog lights can be both amber and white, it's the output that's the difference.

I just recently bought a 98 wrangler, came with lights on the front bumper but they are very dim. I got some new ones, should I replace the two old, or just add them by the windshield?

it depends on what you bought. if its a fog beam then id run a wire from the battery to the front and compair it to one of your stocks and see if u like it better. if its a driving beam or pencil beam then you could windshield mount or wire them on the bumper to turn on with high beams or switch. welcome to the forum
