hello

hey guys.. im new to these forums.. jus wanted to start out by sayin hey.. n i like a few of ur guys jeeps.. makes me jealous =/

well neways.. i make around 400 bucks every 2 weeks that i can spend on my jeep.. i drive a 99 sahara..

that isnt a pic of my jeep.. but its exactly like mine..

ive dropped more money into tickets and fixin my jeep than i have addin on to it..

1 grand to fix it.. and another grand for all the tickets ive gotten since ive gotten my l's lol..

neways.. this summer i plan to get the followin done to my jeep:

1. install the 2nd soundbar, foglights on the rearviewmirrows, and put in sum subs.. all of which are paid for.. or ive already priced ( the subs are the only thing left to buy, since i got rid of my old subs)

2. i wanna get a 3-4'' lift, and if i get a 3 in lift, id get a 1 in body lift.. (right now i got 31's on my jeep) which for a stock suspension is the largest i can put on.. but im thinkin on gettin sum 33's when its said n down... im not too sure what i want as far as the lift kit comes which i need sum help on choosin a good one.

3. rippin out all the carpet in my jeep to get it rhino lined (thinkin this will happen b4 i get it lifted, but im not sure how much itll be)

4. new radiator/ engine performance parts... well i wanted to drop a v8 into my jeep,, but i decided upon addin all that extra weight and keepin the 4.0 straight 6.. i love my jeep, its engine has been with me since mile 1 of its 100000 mile lifetime.. i kno by the end of the summer ill have to replace my radiator (which has a minor crack on the top of it causin small amounts of anti-freeze to leak, but its never overheated) i also wanna replace all the sparkplugs ect which all performance parts.. wantin to add a cold air intake and dual exhaust.. also eventually gettin a snorkle for my baby..

now the question i have for u guys is.. what should i do first, and what parts should i get.. im a novice to addin on to my jeep, and i want top of the line parts if im goin to be addin to it..

tips...don't do a cold air intake and don't do dual exhaust. single is fine and cold air intake is a waste of money. 3" suspension with 1" BL and 33's will be fine.

I think you should wheel it a couple of times before you buy anything for it. This way you can have an idea of what you want to be able to accomplish. I agree with Bigjeep. Don't do the cold air or dual ex. If you want a diffrent sound get a cat back or replace your whole exhuast system.
You can save some money by slowing down too. Jeeps aren't for racing. If you want to race get a rice burner. '

definitely a good point ^

wheel it the way it is for a while before you upgrade. you'll learn a lot.

Welcome to WF. Go slowly with the the mods, do some wheeling and learn what will work for you. I've seen way too many people dump money into mods just to change it all out again because it wasn't really what they wanted or needed (self included).

If you are wheeling, my general recommendation for mods is: protection (skids and rockers), recovery (bumpers and such), performance (lifts and tires) in that order.

i def have taken my jeep offroadin plenty of times =D.. theres a few places here locally that are fun to hit up.. and theres an entrance into my neighborhood that i go thro a creak to get to the other side =D plus gotta go thro sum woods.. shit like that is fun.. i live in indiana, and in the winter theres alot of farm fields we hit up in the snow too..

i think the first step ill drop money into is gettin the inside rhino-lined.. ive been thinkin about that for tha last year or so.. jus kept havin to spend my money elsewhere =/

as for racing..

we also got a 04 grand prix gtp and a 07 quadcab ram 1500.. both are fun as hell to drive =D i jus wanna get alot more power out of my 4.0l n my jeep
