Unhappy Help

I would love to enjoy the summer time air with no top or doors on my 2000, but last time when I pulled a fuse for the dome light, the radio and whole dash didn't work.. (speedometer too) I would like to listen to some tunes if its possible??!! maybe knowing how fast i'm going would be nice too. NOWHERE ON THE INTERNET IS THERE ANY EXPLANATION help! Does anyone have a good explanation on what fuse to pull or some other way?

It should be fuse #4 and it shouldn't effect everything. Just the lights and the beeping sound that tells you your headlights are on.

I have a 2000 and I just pull fuse 4 like Zetsumei said. No problems other than forgetting to turn off my headlights and draining my battery because the warning buzzer is disabled.

I have a 2001, so unless there is a drastic difference, you pulled the wrong fuse. I'll have to check, I bought one of those switches that plugs into the fuse you need to pull behind the glove box and runs down to the bottom right of it years ago so I wouldn't have to deal with it. I never had any problems with anything else not working when I had to pull the fuse though. You are pulling a small fuse behind the glove box and not something from under the hood right? I highly recommend getting one of these switches, they are cheap, worth their weight in gold, and should have come stock. I'll look at my jeep, let you know the fuse. I got the switch at Quadratec I think, maybe 4wd. Give me a min.

Yep, fuse 4. Labeled door SW defeat. 10 amp. Picks of my switch included if they go through. I got tired of dumping my glove box out every time I took the doors off. Too damn much rain here.

Come to think of it, I never had any problems with the headlight alarm either. It still works on mine with the doors off. Everything works except the dome light only comes on when I tell it to. Maybe that's a difference with the 01?

Well.... Did you get it figured out? I hate to see you not have your doors off for something this easy. I like my Jeep a lot better with no doors. I have a convertible I never drive because it's a car and the doors have to stay on. Still have issues?
