Help a Newb with Some Questions.

Hey guys and girls! Okay so here's the deal, ive been a Jeep owner for about a year now. It was an all stock 02 2.5L Manual TJ, so really just my little beach buggy. Had fun with it, and got to see what it was capable of on the stock level.

Recently decided that it was time to start building it up for some more serious off road use. Long story short instead of building it up and doing everything myself, my amazing woman decided to just buy me an 04 Rubicon with a 6 inch Fabtech long arm suspension system, with BDS shocks and steer stab., spicer driveshafts, and thats about all i know whats in because its the only things with names on it ! So really, whos going to complain about that? Sure I didnt get to do the work, but now i get to reap the benefits!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I still just have the stock skid plates on it, which is better than none. Being that I already have lift, wheeling I have been doing right now is marshy mudding (pain in the @$$ to clean afterwards), but want to get into more of trail-riding, and possibly beginner rock-climbing.

So my questions are, what should I armor first? Since I already have some skid plates (stock as they may be), I am under the thoughts that I Should start with some Diff covers, Radiator, steering box, ya know pretty much the other things that if go boom. I don't drive home. Looking for your opinions on what I should get from first to last. Just a btw, pretty sure I just have the stock Rubicon Axles, but pretty sure theyve been regeared (as I can go over the highrise bridge in 5th without losing speed, which i couldnt do in my stock jeep), How would I go about finding out if, and what it is regeared too?

From what I heard jks have skidplates and there's no9 need for more

This is the method I have always used to find the gear ratio, it's quick, easy & you don't have to take anything apart

Thanks to both of you! I never would have thought about it, going to have to go to my buddies house later today (hopefully) and figure it all out.
Does anyone have an idea if theres away to figure out what SYE I have? And does anyone on here run Spicer driveshafts? And if so opinions on them?

Guess thats another downfall of having an already purchased lifted vehicle. I didn't get to research and pick what to put on there.

Okay, so I checked my gear ratios, and I just have the stock 4.10s in there. I Don't think i need to regear as I feel I still have lots of power, although this could just be from coming from a 2.5L to a Rubi. Any Rubis out there regeared?
